Friday saw Su and I heading to Sofitel's Sofi for high tea. At first we were a little skeptical about the place. It didn't help that we had an aunty-like waitress who tsk-ed when i ordered a bottle of sparkling wine in addition to the already included glass of wine with out high tea. Seeing as how it was the end of the semester, we needed something to celebrate with and its not entirely wrong to be drinking in the afternoon is it ? However, the food was delicious - the sandwiches especially the salmon and the scones were really good!
The other cool thing was the tea bag. It was so cute! Had this like fake leaf thing sticking out and it was in a tea bag shape i have never seen before. Usually its those ugly normal ones with the typical dead like string. I want me some of these cute teabags!
A very satisfying high tea. :D I would go back, but probably avoid the aunty-like waitress. -_-"
On Saturday night we headed to Izakaya Chuji at South Melbourne for authentic Japanese. Very pleased with the food and i had to myself a bottle of chilled sake. YUM! We shared a sushi & sashimi platter as well as several main dishes like the japanese steak, sukiyaki, and some others which names i forgot.
And yea, as you can tell from the amount of pictures, i got tired of blogging coz i hear we're going to stokers!!! :D in the fog ... -_-"
