another week passes by

Su & i headed to Rockpool on Friday as per our lets-try-good-places-to-eat plan for this year. After reading some mixed review of the place, we decided to give it a go, just to have the experience for ourselves.

Service was alright. Not the best as the super tulan lady who showed us our table probably had something stuck up her a**. The waiter was really friendly although i suppose i expected better service. Our meals were ok although not the best. They overcooked our steaks a tad although it was still acceptable. The roasted mushrooms we had as sides were really good although there wasn't much of a need for sauces that accompanied the mushrooms as they were totally overpowered by the mushrooms anyways. The salad we had looked rather pathetic and tasted like something i would have done in the kitchen. However, we were left somewhat pleased with the mouth-watering dessert which i originally wanted to pass on.

After our dinner, we headed to Nelson's 21st at QV.





And then it was off to se7en for another Friday night of alcohol-induced fun.

Yesterday night was spent at Moomba where the 10 minute fireworks + the funfair/carnival took place.

It was really dusty with sand being kicked around, hence the weird spots on the photos. Im not much in a mood for blogging now. Guess it must be the need to study study study. Being a nerd is the new black. :P
