The adventure to the car wash!

After the much loved shopping at DFO, we decided to head over to the car wash since there is nothing much to do while waiting for dinner time! :) Who would have guessed that going to the carwash is kinda entertaining ?

The car! Yes, i actually got down to take a pic of the some what dirty car. Didnt really see the point of Sean washing his semi-clean car. I think he is a neat freak or something.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The soaping process! Check out the soap suds! Pretty scary stuff.

Then we got attacked by a red moving thing!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Ack!!!! look at that thing spin!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Seems pretty harmless doesnt it?
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Yeah, after that i got bored of takin pics and we played cho tai ti with a deck of insufficient cards. Yup, playing cards while in a car wash. How many ppl can claim to that?

After a round of cards it was pretty much decided that we should camwhore :

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Sook Li and i opted for a safe-act-cute pose.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Matt & Sean decided for a more 'intimate' pose :P

After the wash, it was vacuming time!!!!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You put in $1 and u get 3 minutes of vacumn time. Super cool! Pay extra and u get fragrance with it.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Sean vacumning. Probably the only housework he ever does... :)

The end result :

TADA!!! SUPER CLEAN CAR! Matt saw me taking a picture with my trusty phone and decided he wanted to be part of it. Can you say POSER????

So, if your ever in Melbourne, with nothing to do & have a car go to the local carwash. Heaps of fun ...:)

lame friends

I have super lame friends who have nothing better to do then to flood my chatterbox. Sigh! What ever did i do wrong?

Was at Heist yesterday. A very much last minute plan. Was having dinner at Blue Sky at 10.30 pm (thanks to Anthea's dance thing, which was fantastic btw!) when Sing decided we should go clubbing. Yeah, no time to change & super unglam in clothes worn throughout the day.

Update later as going out for lunch & grocery shopping. Having a mini get together tonight for Zoe so we actually need some food in the house! :)

victoria secret gum

Did you know that Victoria Secret (yes, the lingerie brand) have their own chewing gum? Yanni passed me one during Pharmacology lecture for me to try. Let me say that they should just stick to what they know and forget the gum business. It tasted like bad mentholated gum! You know the stuff you put after you've injured ur ankle or muscle? Whats it called? Deep heat rub or something??? Well, let me just say that it tasted like i had that in my mouth. Inggrid and i were just disgusted with it & Yanni just sniggered. Say no to Victoria Secret gum i say! The box for it was rather nice tho. It was metallic pink with a diamond thing on the 'i's of Victoria Secret.

Other news: Trinity (residential) College Ball tonight at The Lexington @ GPO! Excited bout it as have never been to The Lexington and its the annual ball. Another reason to drink on week night. :)Will be wearing a pink babydoll dress.. i think.. its in exactly 2 hours and im still sitiing infront of the comp.

Mischa Barton is in OZ and she'll be at the Bourke St Mall tomorrow (Thursday) at 1 pm. Saw her on Rove Live yesterday and she looked.... weird.

random ongoings

The parents are having their 26th wedding anniversary today! Imagine that. 26 years of marriage! So what are they up to on their anniversary ? Dad is playing golf and mum is prob at work, still sick. How romantic. Encouraging them to go for a nice dinner bt it seems to be all up to mum and how shes feeling at the end of the day. :)

The father and i

The mother and i

Happy Anniversary!

Other ongoings : ZOE IS HERE! The house seems to be like a never ending place for visitors. First with the gang, then Friend A and then Zoe! Zoe happens to be Anthea's twin and its been ages since i've last saw her since shes studying medicine back in K.L. Took her around Melbourne, not that she needs to be taken around since she's lived here before, bt then again its always nice to play tour guide! 2 weeks of double take! :)

The gang on their visit here. Taken outside Uropa on Swanston St.

The first night out at Golden Monkey! :)

Have yet to take pics with Ant & Zoe. Almost time for lecture. :(

the weekend

The weekend was pretty well spent. Zero studying done but atleast managed to catch up with a few long lost friends. Friday night was spent having dinner with Sue and the much needed catching up over 2 bottles of white wine. Yeah, so much for giving up alcohol. We did initially intend to head over to Lavish, just for ol time sake (think last year and the constant weekends spent at the clubs). Since we were both tipsy by the time we got there, saw the q (p/s: Z Wenn wasnt there yet) decided it would be a much better option to just head to a bottle shop and continue drinking wine. Many thanks to the ppl who invented wine and much appologies to the cleaner at Trinity who prob might be cursing from having to clean up one of our broken bottles, that was still filled with wine, mind u!

The rest of the weekend was then spent with Friend A who came for a random visit. I'd like to think that Friend A came down to see & spent time with me but we all know that is so not true. Was glad when the apartment had no electricity for the night and hence need not see the ongoings of Friend A and her man. ;P

This weeks resolution is to actually start studying. Think shall start with actually printing the lecture notes. Wish me luck!

Days so far ...

Monday night was spent watching 'Dragon Tiger Gate'. Nic Tse is as hot as ever, even though his hair isnt as fantastic as i thought it would be. I thought it would be something like his Young & Dangerous hair. Long, yet ... yeng ( Whats the english word for yeng again? Yeng is like with style or something along those lines). Anyways through out the whole movie, you'd be thinking that there would be a Pantene or L'oreal ad, just like the oh-so-suttle promotion for the Nokia phones. Donny is old but heck i think he still is hot. Tho the fact that his fringe covers half his face the entire time is pretty annoying. Overall, the movie kinda exceeded my expectations a bit. Thought it would be a crap kung fu movie but honestly, its kinda good. That and the fact that Nic Tse is in it. ;p

Tuesday was a pretty good day. Met up with Sue for lunch at Don-Don. Then we headed over to Ichipan at Melbourne Central. Its this new crepe place that basically sells everything, and i mean EVERYTHING with crepes! Tried & shared the Shibuya which is basically chocolate brownie, whipped cream & strawberries in a crepe! Surpringly it tasted really good. Im not really a big fan of crepes, but this one in particular is prob the best i've tasted so far. From the crepe place we went for a mini shopping trip considering that we're going for the Trinity College (Residential) Annual Ball. :)

Managed to buy a pair of red flats, which isnt really for the ball. Myers is having a shoe sale at the mo and no, the shoes werent from Myers, they were from Zomp! Coincidentaly Zomp is having their own sale. Whats with Melbourne and the sales??? No wonder the Australian economy is picking up.

The shopping trip ended with us at Lounge, polishing off a bottle of white wine, in the afternoon. Yup, there we were, drinking in the middle of the day. It might have been the unproductive efforts at shopping that lead to the mid day drinking. :P

Night was spent at Docklands. Had a wonderful dinner with the cousins and there we polished off another bottle of wine. Funny moment was when Wen could no longer control her limbs. Hahaha. Thats what you get for drinking 'juice' too fast :) Have to hand it to her tho for making the best desserts! We had a choc soufle with ice cream and strawberries which were to die for! Ended the night with Doritos and a movie. Would seriously recommend everyone to watch 'Brother'. Its Jap/English movie bout the Yakuzas (Japanese Gangsters) and the movie is pretty gruesome with people chopping their fingers and slicing their guts out.

Pretty eventful for the past few days and so its time once again to hit the books. ... i hope!

the weekend dramas

So the weekend has come & gone. Without realisation its already tuesday! What happened? Where was i? The supposed weekend to sleep in, do nothing & watch korean series the whole day didnt exactly happen.

Its funny isnt it how when you least expected it, it happens?

And so the dramas will be kept private, all except this :

Happy Belated Birthday Kit Ling :)

Happiness :)

When we went to Chapel St. the last time i saw this really nice looking nightgown at Peter Alexander. Was so tempted to buy it but thought had better save some money since the girls & guy was down in Melbourne for a visit. Weeks later, well, maybe like 2 weeks to be exact, i went back to Peter Alexander to buy the nightgown. :)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Bliss! What was supposed to be a shopping trip to get something for Kit Ling's birthday turned into sleepwear shopping for the self :P

Considering the fact that i've been wondering around the city for two days and have only purchased 1 item is a real step to controlling my finances. Hey, was tempted to get 2 pairs of shoes from Zomp and a pair of Keds from GLUE.

On another note, my cough is still pretty much there. I think the late night yesterday didnt help much either. The bet is officially over & im proud to say that i won! However, i too consumed alcohol last night at Hush Bar. O well, atleast i get my Dessert House lunch with 3 Yin yongs! :P

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY TO SABRINA/FERYX! :)

You've finally reached the 20th mark. Dont worry, you're not that old. I would like to be the first person to officially welcome you to the TWENTEEN gang! :P

Anyway have a lovely birthday babes!

Korean movie fest!

Im currently having my very own Korean movie fest even though its already the start of semester for uni. In a spand of 2 days, heaven knows how many movies i've already watched! :P Anyways the point of this post is to state that Kwon Sang Woo is probably the hottest Korean actor alive, besides Won Bin ofcourse. :)

Kwon Sang Woo ! WOOOT!:) He is 'My tutor friend' in which he plays a macho fighting guy who still is in highschool even though he is already 21! Man, id gladly be your tutor if you were that hot. Check this out :

Kwon Sang Woo!

Another Korean series that i know he is in is 'Stairways to Heaven'. Sigh!

Back to the korean movies.... next up is My Little Bride... Hope thats good.

Im blaming it on the medication

I've been superly WOLS and blur the entire day. Im just gonna blame it on the medication im taking for the cough & runny nose. I just had a conversation with Shuen not realising what she was talking bout. It was basically like a duck & chicken conversing. Only after awhile did she realise i really had no idea what she was talking bout. Sigh... atleast i managed to provide her with some entertainment.

So much for recovering ...

Im sick ... AGAIN! What a wonderful way to start the semester. Its already bad enough that i have to wake up at 7 freaking AM for my 8 am lecture. Going in to uni with a stuffy nose & an irritable throat with teary eyes was not how i actually planned my first day back. Atleast i managed to finish early & actually got a 4 hour nap in the arvo :) Man, that sounded so piggish.

The down side of my 4 hour nap was that i didnt actually manage to call the peeps in Sydney to wish them sayonara. O well, i guess considering that i fell sick thanks to them (think late nights, early mornings, lack of sleep, booze & unhealthy and fatty food) they should forgive me rite?

And so with the new semester, i pledge to live a more healthy lifestyle. Well, until i recover from the runny nose, teary eyes & cough. ;P

The bet

Terms agreed upon : No alcohol for 2 weeks.

This is the master plan to aid the detoxifying plan. The holidays were mainly spent consuming insanely amounts of alcohol. Hopefully with this plan, my cough will finally recover.

The prize : food at Dessert House.

Yeah, i realised that the prize isnt that fantastic bt considering the fact that im super broke thanks to certain ppl who came all the way from K.L. ;P

of late nights & long talks

They actually made it to Melbourne. So far the holidays have been spent eating, sight seeing, consuming bottles of wine & having interesting talks. It feels weird as if my whole kl-life has suddenly become my melbourne one too. Cam whoring moments with the girls are always just as fun. Philip Island today! :)

Its the little things

Its probably the little things in life that makes the difference. Just one thing and BOOM! a drastic change of heart & thought. It'll probably take a lifetime to change things back to the way they were.

And so enough with that short emo moment, time to clean house. Its 10.22am now. Yeung Yoke, Krystle, Melissa & Shuen are arriving in exactly 3 hours time. Can i turn in to superwoman & clean the whole house?!? Hmmm... maybe just my room. Or i'll just vacumn & call that clean... ;p

Other updates in life : i had my first taste of pig ears. Surprisingly delicious & rather addictive. Its like chips, just having one is never enough.

Stupid peekvid.com

So much for being able to watch korean dramas. Was watching 'He was cool' on peekvid.com when it decided to suddenly stop streaming the video. Now, all i know is that the guy is in the hospital & his ex-gf is tryin to convince the new gf to dump him. Darn it!

Looks like i'll have to visit the video store on Bourke St. to find out what happens. So freaking pissed at the site now. Why bother showing the videos if ur gonna cut it half way ?!?

Ouch!

Remembered what i said bout learning new things everyday? Well, i recently learnt not to stand to near while cooking pork chops. Was cooking dinner for my parents (pork chops) the other night, since they were over for a mini holiday. The stupid oil managed to burn my face! ARGHHHHH!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The chops that could permanently scar me for life

So at the mo, i have like a mini open wound at the side of my mouth. Makes me look like i have a cold sore or like theres something stuck at the side of my mouth. Stupid pork chops... no more i say! My housemates should just forget bout having pork chops anytime soon.

Apparently

There is a saying that you learn a new that you learn a new thing everyday. Well, these past few days have been pretty interlectually stimulating. Here's what i've learnt so far :

1. Portugal is an European country. -_- I didnt know that till recently, many thanks to CK's MSN nick. See, i always thought it was near Argentina & Brazil. Hence, i always thought it was part of South America or something. Yeah, i'll admit my geography isnt exactly the best. Goes to show why i failed geography back in secondary school for 2 whole years. BUT i did manage to get an A for the final paper! ;) Just to further proves the quality of the Malaysian education system.

2. I used to be allergic to chocolates. Yeah, i know. How weird & stupid was that. Apparently after the slightest consumption of the chocs, i would throw up. How very appealing. Imagine if i was on like super hot date, the guy accidentally feeds me a choc & i puke on him... hahahha... thank goodness im not anymore.

Yeah, thats bout it i guess... What have you learnt today?

simple

Was reading Marlyn's blog bout school memories, in particular Mr Sheat's chemistry class. Back then, things were simple. All we had to worry bout was memorizing useless information that eventually turned out to be wrong anyways. Think the electron shell (will not dwell on it longer as might turn into mini science class, dont wanna be another Mr. Sheat).

As i was saying, back then, we seriously had nothing to worry bout. And the fact that we were so naive just makes me want to turn back time. Life has not exactly turned out the way i thought it would have been.

Liberation & independence? Yeah right.
Making decisions in life? Not exactly.

Im not really entirely sure what im gettin at. Actually im not even sure the point of this post. All i know is im thinking bout the past & how much i actually miss high school. Shielded from the world perhaps, although not entirely at the same time...

Why cant things be more simple?

Mr. Potato

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Yesterday at Chillipadi made me suddenly remember my of my fears back in highschool. Yup, thats right, HIGHSCHOOL. Believe or not i was seriously afraid of Mr. Potato. You know, the character from Toy Story? The potato head guy?

Any character that can go from this :
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
to this:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
seriously has issues... Or ... maybe its just me.

Basically my old room had my bed semi facing the toilet door, or atleast i could see part of the toilet from the angle that i slept in. Anyhooo, one fine & dandy day i dreamt that Mr. Potato was hiding behind that toilet door, waiting for me. He had that evil grin and was just waiting to pounce on me & kill me or something like that. I woke up the next day in cold sweat. From that day on, i always made sure my toilet door was closed properly, never open, even slightly.

Man, i seriously am weird. Who dreams bout characters from Disney plotting to kill them from their toilet door ?

p/s: i still keep all toilet doors shut when im bout to sleep, just in case. ;)

Cant wait!

So im on the road to recovery and i cant wait to taste ice cream, drink icy cold Coca-cola & eat fried stuffs all over again. Maybe this flu im having is actually doing me some good, a form of detox since i havent exactly been eating unhealthy things & have almost surprisingly not have any alcohol. Was having a convo with my dad & this was how it went :

christina says:
cant wait to drink my coke!

John says:
how about alcohol?

Hmmmm... do you sense something wrong with that sentence? I mean i know my dad jokingly calls me a 'piss-pot' but does he actually mean it? Hmmm... *ponders to self*

Anyways parents are flying in tomorrow morning. So i guess thats another thing i cant wait for. Though i have yet to find places to take them to.

Speaking of parents, they have once again disobeyed me (hah! like im some big shot!) and decorated the new place with more antiques. Seriously, you have no idea the amount of hard chairs, useless tables, weird decorative items we have. When we moved to the new place, i told my mum there should not be any NEW anitques since our lighting were kinda modern-ish. Somehow or another they managed to purchase these antiques and call it a fushion of the modern & antique world. Another thing is a fish pond. See, we never had pets coz we were never in most of the time. Thus, we had 'Bruno' the big fish, 'Bruno' the little fish & many other fishes that were also named 'Bruno' due to the lack of correctly identifying 'Bruno' in the first place. So i thought, yipee! no more fishes in the new condominum. Alas! They bought a small pond & installed it at the balcony. -_-'

O & if ur wondering what happened to my room?

John says:
turning to be a ironing room for me & maasage room for mama

Just coz i couldnt pick a theme for my room & didnt buy any furniture but a bed!

Parents. You gotta love them.

My parents are coming!

YAY! My parents are coming. My parents are coming.

Free food & shopping spree here i come! :)

Smart... real smart

Now, normally, a person who is sick tends to stay in bed and rest. Right? No, not me. I decided to do my laundry. Not only my clothes, but change my sheets as well. Only after putting the sheets to wash did i realise that yes, i am in fact that sick that i need to get some shut eye. Alas! My bed is bare due to the fact that ive washed my sheets & am too lazy to get new ones burried deep down in the closet... somewhere. (I've always used the same sheets coz couldnt be bothered to find the other one due to reasoning that once washed & dried can be reused again)

My other smart move for today was to think that i could make myself porridge. Yup, i've got the meat, i got the instructions (from my dad, who hardly cooks at all) and i've got the euipment. There i was thinkin i was gonna make myself some delicious beef ball porridge. Then i realised while i was preparing everything that i forgot to buy rice. I was going to make porridge without rice... and to think i went grocery shopping yesterday.

I dont like being sick. The only plus point is that hopefully some weight can be shed but then again i wanna be able to eat my ice cream!

Damn sad wei

I wanna go home. Not coz i miss the food, the company or the warm sun. Its coz atleast when im home i dont have to cook my own porridge. How sad is that? When im sick back home, all i do is watch ASTRO (cable tv) all day, drink liquids & eat porridge made by my nanny. Plus, i dont even have to move to get anything since im sick.

Here in Melbourne? I freaking have to do my laundry (when im sick) coz i have nothing to wear anymore & i have to make my own porridge. BTW, how do you cook porridge? I've never made it and am curious. I mean i have made rice that had way too much water bt it didnt exactly turn into porridge. Im guessing that i should add loads of water right? But what if i add TOO much water? Can there ever be too much water for porridge?

Im gonna go figure that out soon, once my head stops buzzing from the effects of coughing the entire nite. *sigh*

Sunday, June 25, 2006

Dont drink ice water ah!

Thats what my mother told me when she heard the state of my voice. Ma, i know you know that i know i love to drink ice water but please, im not gonna kill my throat further with the consumption of ice water. Hmmmm, ok i might but only coz i cant stand this stupid cough.

Ice water. Water with ice cubes in it. Yummy! See, i dont really like drinking water at room temperature. You might find it weird but i think iced/cold water tastes so much better than the good ol room temp water.

Back in Malaysia, i only drank water that came from the fridge. We had bottled water stored in the fridge so it would be nice & cooling once consumed. I hardly drank the water from the jug that was left to be at room temp. Weird aye? *Its not safe to drink water straight out from the tap in Malaysian*

In Melbourne i get cold/chilled water straight from the tap! Yipeee! No longer have to wait till the water gets to the right temp to be consumed. :)

I just realised my bloggin about iced/cold/chilled water. Im bored & the medication plus the countless cough drops i've consumed are probably affecting my thinking. :(

entertain me i say!

Im stuck home alone again. How sad is that? Twice in less than a week? Man, my life is screaming pathetic. Its the dreaded cough i tell you. Not only have i lost the abililty to properly constrct a sentence (due to moments needed to cough & regain my thoughts), i am now stuck with a husky sounding voice. :( Depressing i tell you.

Anthea went back to Malaysia for the holidays. Pei Fei is out with his girlfriend. My brother just ditched me to go watch soccer at his friends place. Me? Im having a romantic evening with my date, Mr. Cough. I feel trapped & in a desperate need from saving. Sadly i dont quite think anyone can come to my rescue. I think im starting to lose my mind from all that coughing.

It sucks big time that its the HOLIDAYS & im stuck, home, alone & sick. Plus there is nothing to watch on the tellie. *sigh* Please someone entertain me ?

*cough cough*

Is there like a super cure for my cough. Its seriously irritating & i wanna be able to speak without having to stop just to cough. Am so tempted to take a fork & scrape my throat so it'll stop. I know, how very disturbing.

Man, id rather a have a fever than a cough. With a fever u atleast get to have ice cream & cold drinks. I hate this stupid cough & those damn kiwis almost did the trick. Was too lazy to get more & thus the return of the dreaded cough. I need like a super duper medicine, somehting other than the benedryl or robitussin.

cough cough cough....help!!!! cough cough cough

Spring Cleaning!

Spring Cleaning as the name suggest should probably only be done during spring. Its winter in Melbourne now & since it was the start to the holidays, Anthea & i decided to do some spring cleaning. Smart... to waste a day of lazing around to clean the apartment. Well, considering the fact that it smells nice & looks clean it worth the effort.

However, i can assure you, i dont intend to continue cleaning my own place for the rest of my life. Plan for future cleaning will hopefully involve a maid. Yeah, im spoilt. I'll admit it. Seriously, who finds mopping any fun? Its disgusting & makes your back ache. Then there's the cleaning of the toilets. Cleaning the tub is seriously hard with all that scrubbing. I dont know how people can do this for a living & they certainly deserve some respect.

And so, cleaning = something i hope i will never have to do the rest of my life. Gotta respect those people who make a living out of it.

Did Anthea make YOU supper?

Im bettin that Anthea didnt make YOU supper! Btw, Anthea is my housemate.

Im having my INDOMEEEEEEE now while chatting to Yeung Yoke online. Yes, i realise that its 4.31 am. Mel is not answering me. I think she really took my advice & went to watch Wah Lai Toi just coz shes back home already. GRRRRRRRR!

Anyways, Lavish wasnt that bad, okok for the night. :)

On another note, happy that i didnt bet on the Ukaraine game as we know that they def didnt score enough to make us money!

Man, i wish i had a double cheeseburger from maccas back home. That would seriously make my day :)

HOLIDAYS!!!!!

*skips in joy* THE HOLIDAYS ARE HERE! YAY! :)

Awaiting for Sean to come pick Anthea & me up. Heading to Lavish (Watermark @ Docklands) tonight. PARTY PARTY PARTY!

Realised that most of my clubbing clothes were really trashy. Tsk! Cupboards in a mess due to the throwing of clothes that were deemed way too inappropriate (i.e. my bare back KOOKAI top - only wore it once & never again, it shows too much!), too loud (i.e. my bright pink halter - sigh! shakes head in embaressment), and the list goes on & on. Finally settled for the brown MNG lacy top that Shuen has as well.

Yay! Seans almost here & its time to get drunk & party the night away ... i mean, drink in moderation ;P

Song in my head now - HOLIDAY by Madonna!
HOLIDAY! CELEBRATE! HOLIDAY!

Home Alone

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

No, im not talking bout the movie. Although i wish i could watch it at the mo. The thing in common is that I AM home alone. How sad is that? All my housemates are out celebrating the fact that their exams are over. Anthea is at some free flow party at Prince Alfred, Pei Fei is prob heading to Gin Palace & my brother is at arrows, supposedly "studying" coz he has another paper tomorrow. Me ? Im home, bored to death! Wishing my paper was already over.

I know its like the LAST paper for this semester & i probably should focus on it & give it my all and all that but im so not in the mood. Whats on my mind right now is doing EVERYTHING else but study.

Sigh! Im hoping something exciting will happen since im home alone & all that. Nothing too scary tho! :) I might just end up studying if there really is nothing better to do.

:(

Loong Koh!

Would like to introduce everyone to Loong Koh! This guy is super powderful! He is able to go clubbing the night before his exam, puke his guts out, wake up the next morning to study & take a mini nap before the commencement of his final paper. How not to respect?

I cant believe im actually blogging about this ...

Have you heard bout the CHING DAO clan?

It should not be mistaken for Tsingtao beer.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The Ching Dao clan has slight influence from Wang Lee Hom.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

He describes Ching Dao as a fusion between chinese music (meaning the Ah Beng/Ah Lian side) and hip hop ( meaning the homie style music, yo!)

Little is known bout the Ching Dao clan & word on the street (yo! holler) is that the very much occupy the streets of Melbourne. From the south to the west to the east & hopefully the east, they spread the joys of the 'zit zit zit'. To find out more of the 'zit zit zit' it is necessary to contact the closest Ching Dao personal. I would recommend Loong Koh who spends all day perfecting the 'zit zit zit'.

*Ok, i cant do this anymore. HAHAHAHA! This post is dedicated to Loong Koh who lives in Uropa. This post might seem more of an inside joke & in a way it is. However if you're wondering bout the Ching Dao clan, they're basically a bunch of lame people who had nothing better to do on a boring afternoon. I really should stop procrastinating*

Yo yo yo!

*This is my homie post ya'll, yeah yeah yeah*

In response to an Ah Lian photo which i have yet to take yo, i thought i'd have a homie photo yo! Big shout out to Shuenie-shuen-shuen coz yo she in the hooooddddddddddd!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Erm... so like yo & stuffs.

Man, i think i cant do the whole homie thing. Ah Lian is more of my forte but considering i had that photo, i had to try right?

Aiyah, homie nooo good. Me go back to being Ah Lian yah?

I seriously need to stop procrastinating & focus on stats. GOTTA LOVE STATS, GOTTA LOVE STATS, GOTTA LOVE STATS!

Me out yo!

Fuyoh! Powder-ful!

*This is gonna be my Ah Lian post just coz im in the mood to be an Ah Lian today*

Fuyoh! Kiwi's are super powder-ful wei. Was having the flu for the past couple of days hor. I eat one kiwi then okok already. POWER! Imagine what if i eat twooooo kiwis? Healthy like a horse i tell you!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Kiwi good, kiwi great, kiwi makes the the flu dead! (yes, thats my lame attempt at rhyming)

Excuse my England hor, sick already cannot think properly wan!

Hairy Canary!

Pubbing and more pubbing. Thats the lifestyle so far for this semester. Limitation is much needed towards beer. Think the formation of beer belly -EWWWW! I dont have it yet bt i can feel it coming with more consumption of beer & the lack of exercising. :(

A Nissin girl's life...

So was working as a Nissin girl for 2 days at the Good Food & Wine exhibit at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. For two days, all i did was smile, make Nissin noodles, taste Nissin noodles, dish out Nissin noodles & repeat over n over again the word Nissin!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My Nissin booth at the exhibition center.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My kitchen - sort of. Nissin noodles, Tonkatsu flavoured.

The cool thing bout the booth was this mini slot machine. Its such a bad toy man! Encourages people to gamble. Tsk!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Time at the booth as kinda boring towards the later part of the day. Thus, camwhoring time!

Fun, fun, fun

Besides working, i had the chance to wonder around during my break. Tasted some really cool food like wine flavoured chocs, yougurts, pies, cheese, dips and alcohol!

Check out the Stella stand below!

Happy Belated Birthday Wennie!

Had a mini cousin gathering on Thursday night at Docklands. Wennie's birthday was the next day so i guess it was a gathering/birthday dinner kinda thing.

Happy Birthday Wen!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Wen tryin to be a gorilla.
I think you're prob gonna kill me for putting such an incriminating photo of you but im just hoping you wont remember the next time i see you :) After all, the picture does bring out the animal in you ;P

Anyways many thanks to Ah Khoo for preparing us the delicious meal - curry, popiah, curry puffs, chicken wings, roti canai... yum yum yum! And we even had a tiramisu cake prepared by Yen & Wen. Super yummy! Highlight of the night would be my first taste of the paddle pop BANANA flavour. It tastes weird coz its like eating a liquidified banana cake & yet it taste like cold bananas - basically it tasted good!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

As always, during cousin gathering, we have our camwhoring moments. Yes, united are we by the power of a camera. Here are just a few shots we took.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We call this the Power Ranger pose. In memory of our much loved childhood days.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Random kawaii pose that prob only Wen managed to pull off.

and finally, with much love

After the camwhoring session, the convo turned to hats & Wen whipped out 2 hats that she got from this Korean shop along Bourke & Exhibition. Seeing as how we're related it doesnt take an Einstein to realise what we did next :

Yen then went to find hers and we did this :

Amzing isnt it how obviously we're related.

Tips before your exam

Tried & tested tips before the commencement of exam(s) the following day:

1. Never watch Korean series, not even an episode. Makes you super emo - no mood to study coz all u wanna do is emo bout y Guy A is so stupid to realise he should be with Girl A & what a dud Girl B is for trying to breaking them up.

2. Have ready your meat pies - Four&Twenty Meat Pies - yum, yum yum! Who's got time to cook anyways?

3. Sugar free red bull. Slightly stronger than your average Red Bull - might have something to do with the fact that it is sugar free & hence more caffeine ?!?

4. Scrap paper to scibble nonsense on - be it a form to release anger or to aid memory work

5. Make sure the World Cup or any form of activity involving the whole worldis not taking place - a definite distraction & most probably the main cause of lack of sleep.

6. Dont think about shopping - it only makes it worse that you have to be stuck indoors, supposedly studying, while the whole city is on a stock take sale.

7. Answering phone calls from friends. The idea that their out & about, enjoying the cold weather, sights & sounds, while your stuck inside (supposedly studying) is unsurprisingly depressing.

8. A blog or a form of diary - to write nonsense & further procrastinate even though its only couple of hours before exam.

One word to describe it : SIAN

A students life during the examination period

At the mo, my fridge looks something like this
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Yup, thats a box of left over Pud Thai from Ying Thai 2, peanut butter, marmalade, lemon (dont really know why we have that), Anthea's-gonna-so-be-expired mutivitamins, cauliflower from i dont know when, bread that is hopefully still edible, a can of red bull & a bottle of champagne/sparkling wine. Amazing isnt it?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The other side of the fridge is even more pathetic. A tube of mayo that taste funny so no ones ever gonna eat it, leftover Lee Kum Kee sauce & vegemite. No one in the house eats vegemite. It awas my dad's & he is the only non-aussie person i know that eats that weird stuff. Anyone want vegemite?

So for lunch today, Anthea came up with this brilliant idea to cook fried rice. Problem was we only had spam/luncheon meat and days of uneaten rice.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Evidence of the many tupperwares of uneaten rice since i dont know when.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Anthea the chef! Our fried rice consisted of days old rice, spam, garlic, onions, chicken stock & butter. Hearing bout this pathetic fried rice is quite sad actually.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The tasting process - like a pro chef! This is Antheas unglam shot in her house clothes. Some how or another she looks better in her unglam shot than me in mine! :(

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The end product! It taste better than it looks. I dont think the picture does much justice.

We really need to go grocery shopping! Or someone please send us proper food!

The feathery experience

Someone should really tell the chicken people in Australia to pluck their chickens properly. As a consumer i think i have the right to buy properly pucked chicken. You might think its funny (and i'll admit it is a little) but do u know how disgusting it is to find feathers or small hairs on your chicken ?? EWWW! Which is why almost half of the time i barely eat my favourite part of the chicken.

Today i thought id be really nice to my housemates & cook them roasted chicken wings. Unwrapping the chicken from the safeway container i found that almost 3/4 of the chicken wings had hair or small remains of feathers like this :
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
So disgusting! Weird thig was that the big feathery hair always came in a pair! Maybe they r love feathers or something - always together, never apart. Ok, that was lame. -_-

So what did i do? I had to pluck my own chicken wings with my tweezer!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Yes, an unglam photo of me in my home clothes. This picture just proves that i did pluck my own chicken - something that should never be done by a consumer ... right?!?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The end product of plucking the feather. Note how long it is man! Can u imagine having that for dinner?

Would you like feathers with that ?

Want football tips?

Yeung Yoke has some predictions. I'm not sure if can pakai or not lah. He told me to bet all my money on England to win 3-0 to Para yesterday. The result : England won 1-0 but they didnt even score. I recommend reading just coz he finally blogs after a long time & realises that he is pathetic. To take his predictions is whole diff story.

Note: Why didnt u tell me earlier to bet on Serbia when i was asking for tips ? Lets see who wins & i'll make you my tip master if u succeed! ;P

World Cup fever

The World Cup fever in Melbourne, make that Australia is not as strong as it is in Malaysia. Heck, the only game the aussies watch is when the socceroos are playing (Gee, i wonder y?) Hey now when i think bout it, heres something weird : Aussies call soccer football, so why in the world are their 'football' players called the socceroos then? Go figure.

Anyways to enhance the spirit of the World Cup, YY has just introduced me a game to play - basically its an online betting game without using your own money. How cool is that? Im not a big time gambler and all that but i have to say this game is super fun. Plus, top 20 people get cool prizes! Other pros ? You dont use your own money :) I cant believe im encouraging gambling! I would like to add that gambling is addictive & i dont condone the activity. However, since this is a game, why not?

Enjoy!

Nerve wrecking

Question : How long does it take for you to realise you've lost your house keys ?

Answer : Not more than a day

Christina's answer : 3 days.

Laugh all you want & i'll admit that it was slightly a bimbotic thing of me to do. Ok, fine, its SUPER bimbotic. But, the thing is i never had to open the door coz Anthea or my brother was always there to open the door anyways. Seriously, if my brother remembered his keys this arvo, i wouldnt have realised that my keys were missing. Losing your keys is seriously nerve wrecking.

I always kept my keys in my make up case coz i figured its something i'll be carrying around - lip balm & all that. But i guess my plan to always have my keys with me failed big time. I practically searched the whole house & even contemplated if i accidentally threw the keys away. Hey, they could have fallen into the bin by my study table. Right?!?

I even searched the fride ... just in case. Now i think it must have been the gloomy weather & the emo weekend that lead me to be super emo bout the keys. I dont even know why i was so emo bout losing the keys. I was so close to tears about them that now when i think of it im starting to think that im either a drama queen or that my life is that pathetic that losing my house keys is the emotional highlight of the month!

Guess where i found the keys ? In the purple jacket i was wearing... yup, i went all the way to the Bailieu to get the keys from Pei Fei when all along my keys were in the pocket of that jacket *slaps forehead* Now i kinda know y im a bit of a ditz.

SORRY LIM YEUNG YOKE

So this is my public appology

-YYLIM- says:
u stupid
she is tha 1 that say it la
not me la
she was using the pc la

christina says:
ooo.. how i know
-YYLIM- says:
she was suing my acc b4 she switch to hers la u stupid
i dun care
u better go blog now
n say that u made a mistake
n u better apologise to me in public

So yes, apparently my facts were wrong. Krys called me fat 3 times - on YY's acc, her own MSN acc & on my blog. Woi! I thought ur suppose to be my friend!

I cant believe im that pathetic & bored to layan your request man.

The widening of the longkang

I was talking with YY bout what i was to have for dinner, seeing im on a diet and all that. He recomended pasta w carbonara sauce. His reason? To widden the longkang!

-YYLIM- says:
then got so many benefits somemore
yah
u also know how to say
a bit wat
so now
u as the jkr
shud enlarge the longkang
b4 the city gets flooded

christina says:
hahahhahahhahaha
i have no idea wat u just said bt it sounds funny

-YYLIM- says:
jkr = jabatan kerja raya
the they do all the road n longkang stuff in msia 1 la
ppl call cleavage
as longkang 1 mah
or at least chinese ppl call it that way

christina says:
blogging bout what u just said
hahahaha
wah u very the animated hor
talk bout boobs only wah damn fast reply
talk bout other things damn kao slow la

-YYLIM- says:
hahaha
f u la

So apparently, i need to loose weight & at the same time widen the longkang. Btw, longkang means drain in english.

Fine la.. i go on diet!

I'll just admit that i am now much 'chubby-er' then what i used to be - the glory of being a size 0 back in the good ol days. This sudden realisation can about after my conversation with Wei Kit which further lead to Krys (telling me twice - on msn & on my blog OUCH!) and Yeung Yoke just messaging me to tell me im fat! Now, when your close friends tell you your chubby, its obviously not a compliment & therefore something should be done about it.

It doesnt help that yesterday we went to Golden Monkey & i had 2 Sapporos (i think i've found my Jap lover bt lives in Canada -ahhahahha) and another bottle of beer which i cant remember. Then during half time between Germany & Costa Rica (which we watched at Fed Square - can you say freaking cold?!?) i consumed a big mac! Argh!!!! :(

And so i am now coming up with my own diet plan in hopes of shedding some weight before the arrival of my parents (who will call me fat anyways) & my friends from K.L. So this is the plan :

1. No more beer (making it more realistic - no more than one bottle a week)
2. No more supper
3. No more ice-cream ( Ok ... maybe just ONCE a week)
4. Eat more fruits and maybe some vegetables
5. Sleep early - apparently having a good sleeping habit helps but then again i sleep before 12 on most nights so...
6. Consume less chocolates - and to think i just went to the Lolly Store on Lygon St. yesterday to get Reese's Peanut Butter Cups :(
7. Do some form of exercise - walking included

Ok, i think that pretty much makes up my diet plan. Hope it works :) Chubbyness away!!!

2 hours more *sigh*

It roughly bout 2 hours more till my first exam. No mood to continue reading bout the Polymerase Chain Reaction, dont really care bout DNA microarrays & cant be bothered by the shotgun cloning approach.

Which is why at times like these u need humour in your life.

christina says:
wk!!!! i fat already!!!! HOW????

n-a-y-n-a-m says:
haihyoh...
har
how come
tot u all dis while edi quite fat
now fatter a
wut happen

Yup, rely on ppl like that to make ur life a little more 'happy' (think dark humour).

Weather is kinda shitty at the moment & what makes matters worst is that my exam is in REB, which is REALLLLY FAR for me. Why couldnt they have it in Wilson Hall in uni since there's only ...200 + of us actually taking this stupid subject ?!?

World cup opening tonight! Well actually in the wee hours of the morning ...

*Edit : hmm... i dont think my convo w wk was very funny now that i think of it. Must be the exam stress getting to my brain - further proof of that stress - got pimple wei!!!! :(

Super Robbie!

At super emo momets i reckon the best music to listen to is def from Mr. Robbie Williams.

'Close your eyes so you don't fear them. They don't need to see you cry.I can't
promise I will heal you,But if you want to I will try'
lyrics from Eternity by Robbie Williams.

How emo is that man? *sigh* I think exam stress is getting to everyone - making things more emo then it really is.

Im actually still awake!

Amazing is the power of Sugarfree Red Bull. Its currently 3.03 am & im still awake! (Im hardly awake after 12am unless out doing nonsense). Anyways im proud to say that im actually doing some work. Well, that & watching Full House - i think im addicted to it! Darn it! Not at this hour esp with exams just around the corner.

So who else is awake at this unthinkable hour? Well, weird friends that send me links like this or this or this ?

Seriously, its 3 freakin am! What are all u weird ppl doing watching things like this when you could be procrastinating studying?

>_<

Nightmare

Woke up at 4.30 am just to make sure that i didnt actually slice my legs open to perform surgery on myself. Scary thing was that i could actually feel the slit on both my legs even after i realised it was a nightmare. Freaky isnt it? Basically i dreamt that i was a soldier (yes, go laugh your hearts out-prob the last thing i would ever be) and i was just sitting in those army trucks. For some strange reason the truck fell coz apparently we were suspended in mid air (why? i have no idea). Anyways when i woke up from the fall, i was was sitting in the boot of a family car (i think i should no longer sit in Seans boot from now on).

For some strange reason or maybe it was voices in my head, i had to slit my legs open to perform surgery. Hmmm.. maybe the fall caused me to think i was a doctor or something? Anyways i did & i shouted to the family infront to assist me in surgery. They all turned back and told me that i already HAD surgery and was stitched up. I looked back at my legs and realised that i had re-slit the already stitched up wound. The blood just gushed out like a fountain! How disgusting was that?

So yes, i'm going to blame CK for this even though technically what he said & what i dreamt are related. The fact is that he cursed me to not being able to sleep and the fact that yesterday was 666 makes it even freaky-er!

Errrr....

John says:
how about u ?
drinking alcohol
ugh study la

My dad just stated me drinking on a week night. WTF? I know im not like the nerdiest person around bt come one la, i where got drink on week nights ? The last time i had alcohol on a week night was like ... ages ago. This cannot be good. Must have better impression on my dad. Well, atleast he doesnt know im shopping that much, or does he? Hmmmmmm... *ponders to self*

Must force self to read bout Nucleotide Excision Repair. Why did i think i was that smart to take up biochemisty?*hits self on the head* Note to self : take subjects that can pass with flying colours!

Quote of the week : Dont drink & drive, take weed & fly - saw that on the bumper of a van while on the say to the AX sale. :)

The random conversations with Wei Kit

Seriously the conversations i share with Wei Kit will truly amaze others. From going brokeback (pls go through w it so we can all see u in Melb) to ski trips to monogamy. Man, its been ages since i've last seen & had a proper conversation with him in person - more like a year & more ?!?

Anyways this sentence particularly struck me
n-a-y-n-a-m says:
i tot u wan many many wan ma...
tot ur always the more the merrier kind

(Note how his nick if read backwards mean M-A-N-Y-A-N? Just needed to add that in since i figured it out instantly :) )

Back to that sentence, was that an insult or a compliment? Coz part of me wanted to say THANKS & yet part of me went HEYYYYYY. And so the conclusion ? It has yet to be concluded.

and so...

I did go to the AX sale after all. Partly coz i was curious with what was on sale & partly coz i got tricked into going - so much for Graecos after you guys shopped. Am proud to say that unlike Sing, i did not give into temptation & buy a $80 top. HAHAHAHAHA! Instead i browsed & reasoned that :
1. paying $50 to advertise for AX isnt worth it when they should be paying me
2. i saw the same jacket i got from the AX Msian sale at a much higher price, even tho its suppose to be reduced
3. i promised myself that i wouldnt buy anything unless i really needed it - plus i needed to prove that i didnt shop

However since i was already at the AX sale & i couldnt technically shop for myself, i decided to shop for my brother! :) Spend his money & still get the satisfaction of shopping. The stuff at AX wasnt too bad although there was a serious lack of sizes - partially due to the fact that its the 3rd day of the sale already. O well. I did however manage to get a black jumper which has this zipper on the side for my brother. Weeeeeeee!

I wish i could actually get a job as a personal shopperl. That way i'll never have to worry bout spending my own money ever again! Wishful thinking.

One step closer

HAH! i did it! I just rejected a call to go shopping. (Sorry Sean). So it is possible not to go to the AX & Cactus Jam sale after all. :) Though sadly i did go to the Ralph Lauren sale with CK & got myself a marine colured polo tee. But that was yesterday & todays today so its a whole new begining. No more shopping till the end of semester.

No one tempt me coz im gonna try very hard to resist. Hopefully....

The GUESS sale

Its amazing with all these sales happening in Melbourne. Today i've just experienced the GUESS sale. Yup, GUESS! A brand that almost never has sales in Malaysia - even if they did it would prob be a disappointing 10% off on old stock. Things are done differently in Melbourne. Why, in Melbourne not only do you get 50% off, its 50% of everything in the store - all stock, all items! Its amazing isnt it?

The entire store was crazy & packed with people, mainly girls (gee i wonder why). The lines were super long but def worth the wait. I was this close to missing the sale if not for Sook. After walking around the city aimlessly, it was time to hit the library. Just as i entered, not even 1 minute if entering the library, Sook called and said GUESS was having a 50% off everything in store. How could i resist?

Stuffs i bought today : a purse for $ 30! :) A long sleeved white top with really cool buttons, a silver sleeveless top and a black long sleeved top with holes in the right places. Generally it was a good buy tho i wished i was there earlier to snag some good GUESS bags. O well, we cant have everything can we?

Other sales happening in Melbourne:
Chadstone VIP sale - 5.30pm till midnight
Highpoint Shopping Centre VIP sale - 7th of June 2006
Myers -everything 20% off tomorrow (1st of June 2006)
Armani Exchange - 70% off

Heaven knows what else. With all these sales happening my budget can just go out the window. Looks like its more nissin noodles for me :(
