Its SWOTVAC (study without teaching vacation i think) at the mo. One week to catch up on all the work before the start of exams the following week. Or so i thought. Today has def been unproductive with me waking up close to 11am. So much for waking up early and gettin a head start on studying. Anyways the day has been spent watching Americas Next Top Model (Season 6) with Anthea and then playing Tarot cards.
Got Tarot cards a couple of days ago while browsing around in Sportsgirl. Yup, my Tarot cards are from Sportsgirl. I dont know if that makes them like Tarot Tarot or whatever bt they are pretty cool to play with and they look pretty (somehow that comment just seemed a bit blonde for my liking). Anyways as i was saying, Anthea & i pratically spent the whole afternoon doing some Tarot reading on our love lives -what else could be more interesting? Seems that Anthea has a pretty bright future in the love department which could possibly lead to marriage and a baby!
Me ? Things just aint lookin too pretty at the mo. Too much drama & a vengeful third party. Hahaha. Thats what the Tarot says so.... O well. I guess i'll just have to take a pinch of what is said.
Anyways i'll be happy to do a Tarot reading, with the help of the guide book as well, so let me know. Who knows what could be instored for your future?

Mikey evicted

Probably the most interesting person to watch on Big Brother has been evicted. WHY?!? Mikey is probably one of the best looking guys in the house (Dino looks alrite when he shaves and its a slight pity that Davids gay & cries over little things) & probably the only one that brings life to the house -with all that drama bout Reuben & the missing toothbrushes!. Being the insider, there is no doubt that he did cause a stir in the house. I guess Mikey made too much of an impact that he just grew too big for the house.
My hands are way too cold & frozen to do any more typing. 20 minutes more till Big Brother Adults Only. Hmmm, my life is getting a lil pathetic with all these Big Brother episodes.
Introducing ...
So i thought i'd introduce everyone to Justin Lo (Zhak Tin). Credits have to go to Vince.EngSoon for introducing him - dont let that go to ur head boy! Have to admit when we first heard his songs, the expression was : WHAT THE??? However, after listening to it more, it sorta grows on you. To date, Justin has 2 albums under his belt. He was here in Melbourne for a concert recently with other HK stars and apparently it was a pretty good concert.

I think he is like the Canto version of Jay Zhou. The difference aside from the language, is that Justin sings more & have to say that his ballads are really nice to listen to. The plus side is that he is also sings in English :)Recommended songs are to listen to on the first album 好人 (Good Person) and 冰淇淋之味 (Popsicle Taste) which are my two favourite songs. Am currently listening to the second album and is def a different sound from the first album. So go listen to Justin!

The TSUBI sale
Yes, you read that right. TSUBI. SALE! Tsubi is having a warehouse sale at Emporium which is somewhere along Chapel St., next to the indoor hockey/footsal place. Prices are slashed so go get your TSUBI jeans! The sale started today and ends on Sunday. THREE DAYS ONLY! It starts from 10 am till 8 pm (i think)
So if your wondering just what is TSUBI? Tsubi is a streetwear label a group of friends from Sydney's northern beaches created. Celebrity fans include Franz Ferdinand, Kate Bosworth, Gwen Stefani, The Killers, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Lindsay Loha,n Kate Moss, Jude Law, Orlando Bloom and many other famous.

Lindsay and her TSUBI
I just purchased a TSUBI super skinny zip jeans (in peach) and a TSUBI denim skirt with a grand total of $200! Originally the jeans itself would have cost $182 so paying $200 for two items is pretty much worth it. However was quite disappointed that i couldnt get the yellow version of it. O well.

Same design but mine is in a peachy colour! :)
Have you gotten your TSUBI yet?

British Cadbury
Went walking around the city to do some errand with Anthea. We somehow ended up at the Collins St. Mall or whatever its called - its the one with Bodyshop & SABA at the entrance (i think!). Anyways we went to this BRIIISH (notice the lack of 'T' -to cut the long story short CK came up with this random idea that British people speak without pronouncing the letter 'T'. How true that is im not too sure bt it seems logical i mean look at Jaime Oliver!)
Anyways we went to this BRIIIISH shop that had all the goodies fron the U.K. You name it, they have it - HP sauces, chocolates, lollies, shortbread, digestive biscuits, laundry powder (?!?) etc. The funny thing was that they also sold England souvenirs which included PADDINGTON BEAR, the England flag, England mugs, shirts, bikinis (?!?), pencils, etc. Heck! You could prob tell your friends you went to England and buy those stuff at Collins St. as proof or something. How whack is that ?
I bought chocolates. Not any chocolates bt BRIIIISH Cadbury. Dont really know what the diff is with the Aussie Cadbury, maybe the packaging? Just had a slice of the chocolate and it had a pig on it. HMMM.... Could that be the diff? Do people in England like pigs on their chocolates?

So are you wondering how bimbotic my friends are?
Yesterday night was spent conversing with Shuen about clothes that we got recently. I would like to crown Miss Chiu Hui Shuen (whose English name is Ann -there's another story there bt to cut things short its coz of the "en" of Shuen that sounds like Ann & therefore her English name will be Ann! Ok enough of that) , as i was saying , i would like to crown her with the title of 'Shopping Queen'.
Heaven knows how much stuffs she bought. Since she's in Sydney and im in Melbourne, shes unable to show her purchases off as she claims that taking pictures of it does no justice as the clothes would seem lifeless and she couldnt take a picture of herself in the clothes coz of 'bad lighting'. I did suggest she get her hse mates to take the picture for her bt then we decided that would be too bimbotic rite?
Anyways an idea struck the Queen and for bout 30 mins she spent trying to make the webcam work to record herself (due to her living on Uni of Sydney campus, they have minimum downloads or something which means she cant webcam straight away with me). So in between watching Big Brother (the daily show), Big Brother (nominations) and Big Brother (adults only) - hey do u see a trend here? i think i watch too much Big Brother sometimes - Shuen was sending me videos in her outfits with her commentry.
I could b a bitch and post those videos of her (mainly her clothes and her boobs right in the middle with her head no where to be seen) on this blog but that would be rather evil & bitchy wouldnt it ?
Yup, and thats how i spent my Monday night; watching videos of Shuen in her clothes & her waiting for my feedback. Now, i dont know if that makes us sad, pathetic, 'mo liu' or just plain bimbotic ?

Classic
I just spent close to 10 minutes being stuck in a lift. Yes, i was stuck in a lift. Laugh all you want coz i find it funny too. Surprisingly i didnt cry my eyes out or anything (IM BRAVE!) - i think it was due to the fact that i had my lunch with me ( went all the way to the city to ta pao Maccas coz NOOOOBODY wanted Maccas for dinner :( ). Anyways i did try pressing the open button bt nothing happened. Actually to tell u the truth i didnt realise i was stuck in the lift for bout 5 minutes as i was listening to a replay of Hamish & Andy (Fox FM). It was only when the snippit ended that i realised i was still in the bloody lift - yes, bimbo moment there.
Anyways i pressed the emergency button and someone answered " How may i help you?" Told them i was stuck in a lift and the line went dead. How weird is that? Do i sound like i need no saving or something? Must remind self to practise damsel in distress cry! I pushed the button the second time and the same thing happened again. Do those people not sense that im stuck in a lift??? Anyways i gave up on telling them i was stuck in a lift and just pressed the open door button for a very long time. Suddenly the lift started moving again & i got home safely with my Maccas :)
Classic stuff i say! Who else can claim to be stuck in a lift?

i wanna be spoilt again!
Living in Aussie land has it perks bt on the downside am missing the feeling of being spoilt shamelessly by my parents. At the current state my parents have taken my litle cousins under their wings and heaven knows how much they've spoilt those kids. HMPHHH! Besides that, they have been splurging on what i identify as useless items - 2 very expensive rugs that could have bought me 5 fendi spy bags, heaven knows how many ceramic vases that could have gotten me tons of clothes, paintings that could have easily been used to complete my very much empty room (yes, my new room is still pretty much empty even tho we moved like a year ago - they claim not wanting to spoil MY room with their taste as their excues) and heaven knows what else that their not tellin my brother and i.
And so, i look foward when i can finally go home in 6 months time for a major shopping spree just coz they got to spend all that money on themselves, even though the money is rightfully theirs. Im just being a bitchy spoilt girl at the mo so dont hate me for it :)

the shopping bug
I've been bitten by the shopping bug this weekend & what makes matters worst is the amount i have left in my bank account before this bug bit me. I was suppose to spend the weekend as a nerd & confine myself in my room ... to study. Instead yesterday saw me going to Bridge Road alone since everyone was at the State Library. Good buy of the day was def the Babydoll by Marc Jacobs skirt i got for only $29! Although its slightly big, its not too bad considering the fact that its super short. So instead of looking trashy (bt who can with Babydoll stuff anyways?), my super short skirt is just short just coz it hangs at the hips - thank God for hips! :) Other super deals is that everything in KOOKAI is less than $50! Whopeeeee! Got a basic white spag top for just $10! Overall Bridge Road did live up to my expectations as the best place to get the best bargains :)
Pieno is having a major price slash! Yup, Pieno! The store sells really cool clothings from Zhouk, Wish, Religion, Ermis, etc. Got this amazing Zhouk cardi for $ 30! Happy happy joy joy!
Looks like i will be eating in from now on - nissin noodles, nissin noodles and more nissin noodles

WTF?
My night had to end with this :
WHY??????? I'm not going to spoil the show for the rest of you who watches it. Let's just say that one of the main characters dies for the season finale. :(
He tells her he’s going to get help, but she begs him to stay. And then she dies.

o btw

I watched Da Vinci Code yesterday. As you can see how important the movie plays a role in my life that i totally forgot bout it till i read Shuen's blog & how she couldnt watch it due to it being sold out! :)
Its not too bad a movie i suppose. Wanted to watch it just to find out what the hype was all about & had no intension on reading the book since the movie was out anyways. Somehow, for some strange reason i kinda prefer 'National Treasure' just coz its more thrilling. Is it just me or was Silas ( i think the actor was the same guy in Wimbledon) super hot? Even thoug he was an albino he sure is good looking, maybe its just me ?!?

Anyways overall pretty satisfied with the movie just coz i havent read the book. Although i think the whole plot with Jesus having a blood line and all that is nothing new to me. I think it was that movie Dogma (remember that - it had Matt Damon & Alanis as God) that had the whole Jesus blood line thing that got me at WHOA! But its pretty interesting how they solved the puzzle, although i think it was too fast -thus making them weird genuises or something
Next week : X -MEN 3! Cant wait for that :)
Another late night
So much for placing a ban on CK's house. We were there again yesterday till the wee hours of the morning. Yes, im talking bout 4.30 am. Seriously, that place is like a mini adventure park. There's PS2, MAHJONG, cluedo, atmosfear ( yes i did spell that right, its some board game with tv interaction - how cool is that), bingo, battleship & heaven knows what else that has yet to be discovered.
No more! No more i say! Exams are coming up & spending time there playing cluedo, trying to make sure those guys dont cheat or see my cards is already pathetic enough (although extremely fun). Its time to be a nerd & hit the books... i hope

Random Conversation
~shuen~ says:
well, with MY definition, you'd be classified under elegant
christina says:
hahhaha! me = elegant? i think im the least elegant person around!
This conversation arose after reading Shuen's blog. Basically she had a conversation about type of girls guys (namely Asian guys) would go for. Let's just say that the answers obtained we're not quite exactly very morally uplifting. The main thing they looked for apparently was the damsel in distress type with little or no say at all & would "crumble" if spoken to. The definition to each gender also was surprisingly different. I guess Catherine Zeta Jones is pretty elegant but shes not much of go-woman-power kinda girl now is she? No wonder Shuen's not dating an Asian & most girls i know are still single!
In words of the woman who dared to find out the truth ' damn those Asian guys'. Hahahaha :P
Note: I have nothing against Asian guys & dont take anything i say too seriously
After reading, this is what he had to say:
vince.engsoon says:
see dere are many things dat defines elegance ..
but currently at the mo. .
elegence is defined by many gos mags as sumtin related to success. and AJ (Angelina Joile) is pretty successful, and influential esp in world issues ...so she's elegant
christina says:
hahahhaha.. so ur defining elegance as success?
vince.engsoon says:
no i think itz a requirement ... good eg would be .. u know how most mags have world's sexeist ppl alive
well the polls now are determined by ure career as well
Looks like there will never ever be a definite answer.
However, Vince.ES had suddenly said something very deep :
vince.engsoon says:
all u need is PERSONALITY, sense of fashion and style,
vince.engsoon says:
i would conclude that guys would like a girl that they can click and connect with well, im sure physical appearance is the first thing that attract roaming eyes ... but hey not many guys would have the confidence or persona to go for her... some might settle for this girl dey never notice initially, but after a while convo, experiences and time spent = love
I think he can write a thesis on LOVE now.

I want to watch CLUELESS

Do you ever get this feeling of just watching an old time favourite? Well, currently im having a strage craving to watch CLUELESS, even tho i've watched it millions of times already. Now, i have the DVD in Melbourne but i cant remember who i lent it to. So who ever is having it please pass it back to me to kill the craving. Seriously, Clueless is one movie that you can watch over & over again, although its slightly bimbotic.

Antheas Birthday!
Happy belated birthday Anthea! The reason for the lack of blogging was due to the planning & the recovery from Antheas 20th birthday celebration. Since Zoe (Happy Birthday to you too!) had her own party back in Malaysia - Anthea & Zoe are twins - we decided to throw Anthea her very own party. It was a pyjamas themed party. How original rite? Hahahaha :P
Anways Friday afternoon was spent rushing around buying the needed things while Anthea was in class. Thankfully by the time we were done she decided to come to the city for a little shopping. Since Vince.ES & i didnt know what to shop for, we just brought her to Crown to have cake at Grecos! Omg - the Mars Bar Cheesecake there is the best! Too bad we forgot to bring along the camera.
Bout 8-ish we rocked back home where there was to be a surprise - to Anthea's knowledge however, we were going back to shower & having dinner at Stalactites (this really good Greek 24 hour place - Shuen should remember it!) Thanks to everyone, the place was decorated beautifully & the food was great - pizzas, pasta, chicken, etc YUM!
I shall just let the pictures do the talking now :

The Deco & me posing :P

The birthday girl dressed in her nice pyjamas - bought by her twin!

Anthea & me

Random shot of the some of the people in the house with their pyjamas & the house deco

Yes, we bought sparklers to play with! More people in their pyjamas :P

The birthday cake - yes it is what you think it is. I would like to add that it was big & heavy

Anthea BLOWING the cake - classic shot!
After the whole eating, playing with the sparklers, watching friday nite games and cutting the cake, we played a few drinking games. The end result had 4 bottles of Midori, 1 bottle of Bacardi, 1/4 of Baileys & 1 bottle of champagne gone. No one was really in a correct state of mind to take pictures during the game, however i have found one :

Can you guess who that is ?
Overall, it was a pretty good birthday party & everyone did try to stick to the theme :P Happy Belated Birthday Anthea & Zoe!

We baked a chocolate cake!
We actually did it! Anthea & i actually baked a chocolate cake! Yay us. Im just gonna ignore the fact that it was a pre-mix cake from Betty Crocker & acknowledge the fact that we didn't burn the cake :P
New week, new bag
Been browsing through Purseblog and had a preview of the latest line from Coach. Orange is the new black!

The evening clutch

The weekend tote bag
Sigh! Looks like its more bags to be added to the list. If only i had all the money to spend!

Midweek!
Its Wednesday again. O joy! Indication that havent been doing much studying or work (NOOOOO!) and its almost the weekend (YAY!!!). Instead of staying in & catching up with my work, went to the city today. Had a very late lunch with Anthea, Sean & Kit Ling at Kanzen (or somehting like that). Its seriously the best place to have jap food. Its located on this little alley just next to GPO on Little Bourke St. Happiness & bliss as the place was so quaint & it was heated! - much needed for a surprisingly cold & windy day
We then headed to Melbourne Central in search for a present for Sook Li. Into Kookai we went & ultimate bliss when i saw the words : SALE! Midweek sale perhaps? Anways got a pink cardigan & a white top there - both on sale :)
Best buy of the day would have to be my new dress! Its an orangey-pink coloured dress & it makes me look thin so thats always a plus! Bliss!!!!!
I think the whole shopping thing was triggered when i looked in my closet n realised it seemed empty - might be due to the fact that i donated stuff to the Salvation Army. Anyways now the closet looks slightly filled again -Darn it!
The daily show for Big Brother is on at the mo so its time to be entertained by Big Brother & the housemates. Go Mikey! :P

Closet cleaning!
Just cleaned my closet... well, it was just flicking through clothes to pass to Anthea so she can take it to the Salvation Army tomorrow with Sean. My, thank god for those good-doers :) Anyways its pretty amazing the things u tend to keep in your closet. I have so far found 3 pairs of jeans that i cannnot fit into yet keeping it to one day be able to, a dress that scream TACKY all the way, a bright pink hobo skirt that i made my mum buy me even though she told me i would never wear it (i must listen to her!), a skanky white top that my MUM bought me when i was in the whole bare your mids phase (prob when i was 16?!?) & a couple of other bad buys which could have been used for my 'Lets get Christina a Metalic Fendi Spy bag Foundation'. Darn it!
The good thing bout the whole closet flicking is that i found my favourite MNG top, my black Marc Jacobs top & my brown Mazi with pink strips with lace bottoms. YAY!
And so the moral of the story is : listen to your mother, she knows best. I seriously have to stop buying clothes i will never wear. Do you think its even possible?

A lot like love

Just watched 'A lot like love'. I know its really old (well not as old like 'When Harry Met Sally' old, more of like not as new as 'Pride & Prejudice' new). Anyways got the DVD off CK, which he & Vince said it was crap of a movie, nothing like the funny 'Just Married'. I actually found the movie rather entertaining & surprisingly better than 'Just Married'. And yes, it is def a chick flick & probably one the most entertaining tho pretty predictable! The morale out of the story would probably be 'Live your life to the fullest & dont try to plan it TOO hard coz it might just fail on you'; that and you can take really good nude shots in a national park in the middle of the night. I guess you'd have to watch it to understand what im saying. :)

Something to pass time with...

You're a Puffin in the wild world of love.
What's Your Animal Magnetism?
Brought to you by Tickle
Many thanks to Yew Sun for this. Even though havent spoken to him for ages, its nice to know he actually remembers me & sends me weird surveys to fill so i wont get bored. :)
Heist
Went to Heist on Friday as part of Sook Li's 20teen bday celebration. The funny & coincidental thing was that there were strippers.. correction a stripper performing on that night as well. Anyways here's the 2 pics that i currently have at the mo. I can't remember taking them bt atleast i look somewhat sober in them. How come no one told me i had cleavage with that dress? Seriously, i had no idea!

Vince.es, Surene & me - the Cempakan trio!

Kissy kissy anyone? Chris, Vince & Chris!
Still waiting for the pics with the bday girl & will publish them soon!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Its my mum's bday today so : HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY :) Called her up at 11.30 am Auzzie time & the first thing she said was ' Why you wake up so late?' As if she was expecting a call from me already! But then again she must have been up pretty early on her birthday. She's in Singapore at the moment for some workshop thing. I didnt know my mum still jetted around. I thought she gave up travelling like a couple of years ago. For those who dont know, my entire childhood was seeing my parents go off in a taxi to the airport - lots of travelling done by those two and i think if u comebine the travel length, they might have circled the world TWICE!
Anyways i think my mum's a pretty strong woman. Coming from her background with just a high school degree she's pretty much done well for herself. Heaven knows if i will ever live up to what she has become. You know when ur my mother's daughter when your as emotional as her (yes, i am emotional tho i tend to hide it, sometimes not very well), hot tempered (ppl do get on my nerves bt i just smile), and we lie bout our age! :p I ask my mum how she felt being old & she said she's not OLD! She then told me that she's only 36 ! I wanted to laugh so hard when i heard that coz just the other nite at Sook's place i told everyone i was 16! How coincidental is that ?
I love my Mummy loads coz she buy me things that i know i will never use or wear even though i convince her i will & she takes me for facials :) I love my Mummy coz i think shes the best Mummy in the world - we have our own shopping spree which lead to quite a big hole in my dads pocket, Mums theory is let the man pay! we're woman! - and she knows things. One cute fact bout my mum is that i think shes still pretty delusional that i've grown up - hence the sudden curfews when i went back last holidays & the sudden change in subject when i told her i went drinking & clubbing.
All in all i LOVE my Mummy. So Mum, HAPPY BIRTHDAY !
P/S: I wont reveal her age coz she would prob kill me if she found out.
PP/S : I just realised i dont have a pic of my mum on my comp!
On another note, this is post is also to wish Princess Sook Li Happy 20teen birthday! We will rule the world together, spread the pinkness around & the taste for beng looking guys - hopefully those pirated DVD sellers give us discounts & comission for promoting them! Hahahaha. Have a SUPER birthday babes ! :P

Bags! (Bimbo post ahead)
So instead of fretting over those stupid fractional charges, i went looking for bags. So far i have seen 3 bags that i would like to own in the near future, hopefully :

The Denim Fendi Spy bag
Not really to into this bag but since i seem to be wearing denim alot these days i thought heck, i'll look for soemthing denim. This bag beats the rest just cause its not toooo denim & yet it is denim - bimbo thought there! Anyways the Spy bag i think is pretty user friendly with it being spacious and all that so having it in denim means perhaps a trip to uni for 1 lecture with this bag is totally do-able! :P

The Dior Goucho bag
Saw this bag while reading Bryanboy . Anyways its finally something different from the normal girly looking Dior bags with D all over the bag. Somehow or another this bag is very cowgirl-ish to me. I think its the whole leather & design thing. But then again which cowgirl would be using a Dior Goucho bag when she can use that money to buy her own cows ? *snicker*

The Metallic Fendi Spy Bag
This has to be my favourite bag out of the three and prob my most fav bag besides the Balenciaga. Sigh! Cant u just hear it calling out to u? As said before, am totally loving the Spy bag and wished i had seen the beauty of it earlier - i knew bout it when i was reading FAMOUS with Lindsay & Nicole carrying it bt thought it was rather plain till i googled this one! :) So feel free to donate to the ' Lets get Christina a Metalic Fendi Spy Bag ' fund! All proceeds will go directly to me ;P

OMFG!
At the mo i have a text book, a practical book with notes, previous prac report, notes & bits of paper all cramped up at my side of the table. Why? O, u know, stressing. Stressing that i have no idea what fractional charge is - ok i know that fractional charge is the sum of the fractional charge of each ionizable group. How im suppose to calculate the fractional charge of each ionizable group is whats killing me! Why are there SO many fractional groups & so many diff pH 's ??????? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I swear im thinkin why im even in the science strem. Do i care bout fractional charges -NO! W ill learning about fractional charges EVER benefit me? -Probably NOT! So why o why am i doing it - Heaven knows :(
Where's the weekend when u need it the most ?

Where's the weekend when u need it the most ?
Study? What Study?
Its past midnight and im still up (yes, for ppl who dont already know, i LIKE to sleep early & being up past midnight is like a WOW factor for me). In the midst of studying, yes i was studying -might be due to the fact that i have a test in like 12 hours time- till i had to read a conversation bout korean drama with Mr. Superhero-maths, Mr. Lost, Mr. Bae & Ms. Heaven-knows-her-name which had no point in the story in the first place. Good way to use your time ! And then ofcourse after being online, there is like the sudden urge to check every other blog in the universe. So one thing leads to another and u find urself with 1 lecture sheet to go and not that many sleep time - DAMN, where did all that time go ?
And so to record this moment, it has to go down in this blog. So much for the "easy" 10%.
p/s : Someone should tell Big Brother to stop making Mikey do things that will only attract the HM's attention to him. HELP HIM BB!

ACK! Its MAY already
Time has surely passed by. I can't believe its May already! What happened to all that time ? Did i really skip that much lectures & wasted so many weekends on ... what was i doing all those weekends anyways?
MAY! Ok, new month new start right? That seems to be the constant thing i keep telling myself, till its mid-month & i realise that the STUDY plan isn't working. BUT this month is gonna be different. Why you might ask? O, u know just coz exams are in a month's time & to make matters worst Biochemistry & Developmental Psych are on the same day. How evil is that ? Its like THEY know i havent been attending my lectures so as a punnishment they put the 2 hardest subject (in terms of memorizing - think structure of 20 amino acids & numerous child development theories) in one day. I'll let you know if i survive.
