watched pride & prejudice today with anthea ... LOVES IT!!! it cannot be compared to the BBC 1995 production due to a number of reasons :
1. Mr. Darcy will forever be Colin Firth even though the guy who did it in the film was good as well... he wasn't as intense as Colin Firth *sighs!*
2. Elisabeth Bennet is suppose to be ordinary & plain looking... unlike Keira Knightly.. im sorry, bt she is nothing ordinayr, more like exotic... the reason y pride & prejudice is loved is coz a simple, ordinary girl is able to capture the heart of a rich popmpus (?!?) guy which is i might add the dream of every girl, well not everyone bt ALMOST ... so how are we (in this case, me) to relate to Keira Knightly when i know i look NOTHING LIKE HER?????im not exotic bt plain looking n thats y the actress in the BBC production was much better an Elisabeth
3. Mr. Wickham looks gay... how is he suppose to charm & dazzle the hearts of young women by looking like that ??? he sure didnt make my heart flutter... more like the hairs on my arms stand
HOWEVER!
the movie was enjoyable n i would def watch it again.. that & i think coz Pride & Prejudice is the most romantic movie/book on the earth :) so where is my Mr. Darcy ?

elizabeth bennet is Not supposed to be ordinary nor plain-looking! though she isn't as beautiful as jane, she still has an extraordinary amount of looks, and she's also quick-witted! and that's what darcy fell for in the first place! didn't you read the book? in your profile, you put P&P under favourites.
